About Seattle/Eastside Yorkie Meetup!

Seattle/Eastside Yorkie Meetup has been holding monthly meetups for over 2 years and our membership keeps growing every day! We have a meetup in Seattle on the third Saturday of every month from 2:30pm - 4:00pm.

The meetups are very casual with no formal agenda. They normally consist of playtime for the pups while the owners socialize. A typical meetup consist of the dogs playing, sniffing, or hiding while the owners discuss various yorkie-related topics. Many members enjoy using the meetup members for resources on boarding, health issues, and many other topics. A meetup will usually have anywhere from 20 to 40 dogs and will normally consist of 2/3rds existing members and 1/3rd first timers. If you are a new member there is no need to be nervous as many of the meetup attendees are attending for the first time. Please introduce yourself to the group and join in the conversation and fun!

Children are welcome to attend the meetups, but if you do bring your children to the Meetup, please remind them that they should not run in the meetup area and should not pick up any dogs without the owner's permission. We do not want to risk any yorkies getting stepped on or dropped at an event and we also don't want to scare the dogs. Many dogs are not used to children and get frightened when children are chasing them. That being said, we have many children who attend the meetups that are wonderful additions to the group, so please don't be discouraged from bringing your children to the meetup if they are able to comply with the above points.

Treats:
If you give out treats during the meetups, please be sure to ask other owner's if it is alright to feed their dogs before giving treats to them. I know a few dogs who attend have allergies or digestive issues and I would hate for something to happen, so I would appreciate your help in this area.

Please Note: Anyone who joins this group to solicit members will be removed. The monthly meetups are for yorkie playtime and the owners to socialize. Please do not sell any items or conduct business transactions at the meetup.
