Our Next Meetup will be at White Rock Lake Dog Park on Saturday the 20th of September, at 10:00 am.

We'll have a special selection of 'Yorkie Retail Items' for Sale. Some items are hand-made, some are 'must haves', some are one-of-a-kind. These are items that our fellow meetup members designed and made for their new Yorkie Web Site. We're lucky to be able to purchase these items ahead of time.

Barbara, one of our Members, is a "dog handler". She has graciously agreed to share some of her Yorkie expertise with us. So bring your questions to her this Saturday.

As always, we will have a couple drawings with something special for you or your Yorkie as the prize.

Cold drinks are supplied for you. Bring a blanket or a chair for your own comfort. Come for your Yorkie, or come for the goodies, but please just come! We couldn't ask for nicer weather!

White Rock Lake Dog Park is located at:
8000 East Mockingbird Lane
(where Mockingbird crosses over White Rock Lake)

The City of Dallas locks the dog park if it has been raining. So if it rains Saturday, or late Friday, the park will probably be closed. Check this web site.

Your Yorkie must have their current vaccinations, including Bordetella booster for the safety of all.


A bit of information about White Rock Lake Dog Park . . .
The city of Dallas has provided dog lovers with three spacious grassy areas, fenced separately and somewhat shaded for their dogs.
1. One area is for small dogs (under 30 lbs.)
2. One area is for large dogs (over 30 lbs.)
3. One area is for dogs of all sizes to swim in the lake.

We meet in the small dog section (dogs under 30 lbs.) At past Meetups, we have been able to meet under shade trees, in a corner of this section; a few other dogs come to visit & smell around, but basically leave our Yorkie group alone.

    I think the yorkies took over the dog park! It's fun to see all of the yorkies playing...especially with dogs 3 or 4 times their size. I can't wait for the next meet up. The weather will hopefully be just as nice, if not a little cooler!

    We'll be meeting at 10:00 am this Saturday, 20th of Sept., at White Rock Lake Dog Park. We'll have a drawing, as usual. Cold drinks are provided. And this meeting we'll have hand-made, one-of-a-kind, unique Yorkie Retail Items available for sale. What more could we want to have in this great weather! Oh yes, Barbara, a "dog handler" will be there to share her Yorkie expertise with us too!

    • “ i thought it was very nice having Kathi showing everyone items for yorkies but i am very disappointed that someone would walk off with one of her clips. her cost was $15 and that is what she was asking for it. it almost makes you think she shouldn't bring anything. ”

      “ Weather was great! Group was big and friendly! The Retail Items Kathi & Barbara brought were great; their prices were less than half of what Pet Stores charge for the same items. They mentioned they would be bringing items back in the future. You won't want to miss that!! I think a good time was had by all! ”
